About the Tower
Research Tower Description

Floor Description

The Ground Floor is the Tower’s primary public space. Shops and food vendors will service the needs of those working in the Tower as well as the surrounding community. The three-storey-high glass walls that line the lobby and main staircase allow those travelling along Bay and Elm to sneak a peek at the work being done within.

The Second Level houses the mezzanine amphitheatre, flexible learning spaces and assessment rooms as well as provides access to the auditorium and the multipurpose room.

The Third Level is dedicated to the tele-education room, workstations, administrative offices and access to the auditorium.

The Upper Levels house the research neighbourhoods, which feature laboratory space, interactive atriums and meeting rooms.

Once complete, the Tower will consolidate research across six strategically themed neighbourhoods. Joined by shared spaces, connective staircases and unique meeting rooms, the research neighbourhoods will provide unique opportunities for multidisciplinary collaboration, the facilities to support discovery and tangible outcomes in the clinic and in the community.
